About  Me

Hi there, I’m Kaylee — the heart behind Wildflower & Wren.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been drawn to creativity, animals, and beautiful details. I was always stopping to pet a dog, gawking at the fish at the Kemah Aquarium, or begging my mom to let me take home another pet. Around that same time, I also discovered a love for art. Painting, drawing, photography, floral design — I’ve always been passionate about creating things that make people feel something.

Photography became a serious passion when I found my dad’s old SONY film camera in middle school. What started as documenting everyday life slowly turned into photographing graduation sessions for friends in college, then eventually building my own photography business. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of capturing everything from high school seniors and newlyweds to beloved pets, newborn details, quiet Texas sunsets, and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Professionally, I’ve worn many hats — agriculture science teacher, FFA advisor, wildlife rehabilitator, photographer, artist — but each role has shaped the creative perspective I bring to my work today. My background in agriculture and animal sciences taught me to appreciate natural beauty and pay attention to subtle details, while wildlife rehabilitation taught me patience, timing, and how meaningful fleeting moments can be.

Then came floral design.

After spending the last seven years teaching Floral Design, I realized flowers were more than just another creative outlet for me — they were storytelling in a different form. I fell in love with the process of transforming blooms, textures, and colors into something emotional and unforgettable. From whimsical arrangements to event florals, floral design quickly became one of the greatest creative passions of my life.

For a long time, I felt like I had too many interests. I used to think of the phrase, “a jack of all trades is a master of none,” as a weakness — until I learned the rest of the quote: “but oftentimes better than a master of one.” That perspective changed everything.

Wildflower & Wren was created as a home for all the things I love most: photography, floral design, event styling, digital design, art, and creating meaningful experiences. What began as a photography business has now grown into something much bigger — offering floral services, custom event florals, creative design work, and thoughtfully crafted pieces that celebrate life’s moments both big and small.

Whether I’m designing florals for a special event, capturing memories behind the lens, or creating something entirely unique, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels authentic, artistic, and deeply personal.

Thank you for being here and supporting this dream of mine. I truly cannot wait to create something beautiful with you.
